Site Maintenance

We have now completed the maintenance on the forums and main site. Thank you for all waiting patiently. It took a lot longer than expected but we have successfully done several upgrades on our user tables and database which should significant improve our user and server management. 

If you have any outstanding issues which were posted on the forums, you should expect a response shortly.

This one is quite a whopper and very eagerly anticipated, but the wait is over and it's finally here.

 Game Server Update

January 15, 2008 - Garry's Mod Update Released

Updates to Garry's Mod have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Garry's Mod

  • Switched to use the Orange Box Engine

  • Added support for Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Portal

  • Updated Spawnmenu

  • Updated gm_construct

  • New loading screen

  • New 'Start Game' menus

  • Lamps now cast shadows (if supported by hardware)

Many of you from the gaming realms have been enquiring over the past several weeks if Invision Gaming will tender your custom game requirements. I thought it would be helpful for everyone to know, that YES, we are able to provide hosting for MOST games that we do not currently support. There are some games that we have actively chosen not to host, although all Half Life 2 modifications are ready to go as well as other popular releases on request. All you need to do is ask!

There has been another patch released for Call of Duty 4 and we are now in the process of updating all the Invision Gaming servers. If you log into the control panel you will see that the patch is now available from the Update page. There is no need for you to use this patch and it will be automatically updated shortly.

Team Fortress 2 Game Servers

The launch date of Team Fortress 2 is nearly upon us and with this launch many are asking the question - 'I need a tf2 server, where can I buy it?!'. Well, we are pleased to announce, albeit late off the mark, that Invision Gaming will be providing game servers and hosting services for this orange box release, Team Fortress 2.

The sequel to the original Team Fortress will be released on October 10th so if you are looking to have a TF2 game server up and running on the day of the launch, you need not look any futher.
