About us
DeviaGames is a games community, focusing on indie developers, the more unkown sort of games, and their developers. This nische gives us a unique advantage over our competitors, as we can deliver news unlike anywhere else.
The games we write about are not poorer, but different - innovative, groundbreaking, the sort of games most people haven't even heard of. A good example is the upcoming title Warhound, which only people involved in the direct vicinity knows about. As it sports graphics not much short of Crysis, it's certainly an interesting project. Even so, the newscast about the title has been very sporadic, just because the developers have never made an earlier, big title. Crysis is a great example as Crytek was nothing before Far Cry, but after that declared as near gods.
This special approach also allows us to construct bonds with the developers, who are desperate for attention and are often more than willing to share their ideas.
This results in our news coverage not being copies of the stuff that other site just published, but something new and fresh - something that you've probably never heard of, but is yet interested in.

DeviaGames is, basically, a convergence of real gamers, looking for like-minded people. It's our goal - our belief - that we can't be the only ones looking for information on something else, that's not being published by one of the major publishers. Our work is to focus on these games, and draw attention to what makes them brilliant - and how they contribute to the further development of the industry. That, closely coupled with numerous previews, competitions, [] and articles, is what we belive to be our recipe for success.

Presently
Very early on, DeviaGames recruited a team of top-notch gaming veterans, and sent them on to the Nordic Championships in Quake Wars: Enemy Territory.
Some of them are new to the game, and some of them were in since the beta. Their expertise was proved by the fact that many of them were in the top 100 players of the world - a ranking consisting of more than 180,000 players. They are currently one of the 16 teams left in the finals of the championship.

Earlier merits
Wormie: As the only foreigner on the team, Wormie has a past experience of a clansman in World of Warcraft. He has played with, among others, MYM, previously Curse, which bosskiller.com ranked as the 2nd best in the world.

Holi: Previously a Counter-Strike pro, where he played with one of the old top teams, viLd.

What we're looking for
At the moment, our highest priority is a Quake Wars-server, which DeviaGames can use for training, PCWs and such. We consider this as a necessity for the further development of the clan, and a part of their way to becoming a top team in the ever growing Quake Wars community.

DeviaGames is not only looking to be a strong component of the news community, but also to be a known part of gaming. Our Quake Wars team is just the beginning. DeviaGames will, if everything goes according to plan, grow quickly, and will frequently update our news and information stream to generate more visitors. We expect our team to do their job, which would not only bring attention to us, but also to our sponsors.
What we can offer you is an attractive ad spot on one of Swedens most innovative gaming community, and hopefully one of Swedens largest.
The site is at the moment still under construction, but work is proceeding rapidly, and all but the very last fixes are complete. This will lead to our statistics being not too impressive - as the site is, presently, nothing but a blank page. Even so, we average 1000 unique visitors a month, 3000 visits and 440,000 hits - this, as said, without even a site being up.
