Following several easy steps, I will explain the basics, of what to do and what not to do.

Default Server Config

This is the default server config we use on all our servers for counter strike source. 

 Each server has the ability to be called anything that you want. Unlike some options that can only be set in the command line when launching the server the host name can be changed at at time.

To change the name you simply need to enter:

rcon hostname "My New Server Name"

You can do this in your games console or you can enter it in your server.cfg to ensure it is executed every time the server is launched.

There are lots of different ways to play Deathmatch in Counter Strike Source. You can use Mattie Events scripts to emulate the sort of gameplay you get with HL2DM or you can use the first and most popular form of Deathmatch Mod created as a Metamod addon, more details on downloading are at the end.

The basis for all of the mods is to create a scenario much like HL2DM where players spawn continuously and rounds never end. This creates an atmosphere of never ending fragging and constant scrimmaging.

With Deathmatch, you can have games where its everyone versus all or if you choose each team against each other in a never ending battle of Counter Terrorists (CT) versus Terrorists (T).
